Interactive Training Videos with Mylena Vocal Coach

Mylena has released numerous interviews and TV training videos over the years, and now she is releasing a brand new and exclusive series of Videos over Youtube and Patreon.

Mylena Vocal Coach training videos are not cheesy, they dig right into the session and they deliver exactly what people ask: a solid training that the audience can value and take home.

Each Video has a clear goal in mind, and as Mylena has the experience to know what her students need more to focus to improve in a short period of time, she teaches her viewers how to reach a specific goal with proper training, and without any time wasted.

The videos will be delivered first over the Patreon platform.
Each student will have the option to select three different levels of training.
The entry-level is just the training video.
Starting with the second level there is the opportunity to interact directly with Mylena Vocal Coach and have her directly assess your progress within the training.
At the third level, there is even the opportunity to practice live with her with a regularly scheduled session at a bargain price.

The videos will be tailored for different types of voice training.

There will be training videos aimed at Acting students who want to improve their script preparations as Acting and Voice are an indissoluble twin.
Only fools go to an audition without any training, and very few of the contestants have received valuable voice training. This is your great opportunity to have an exclusive edge over the others!

There will be videos tailored for Voice Over students who want to be able to better express emotion using only the voice. This may sound easy, but Mylena is one of the few vocal coaches that does not focus on singing training, but actually teaches voice over acting with regular online sessions and classes. She has more than 20.000 online sessions of experience! Again is your great opportunity to have an exclusive edge over all the others!

There will be also videos tailored to the business men and womens. Business effectiveness, career advancement, job interviews, university essays, you name it! Mylena is among the world leaders when it comes to present or speak in front of an audience. She is also a Topic Expert for the Communication Skills Course at the U.C.S.C.. She was the world’s first Vocal Coach to get this title and at present, she’s still the only one!

Finally, there will be videos created with common people in mind. People that simply want to better express themselves, better interact in the social environment, build a romantic relationship, or grow a better aware child.

As an additional benefit, training and listening to Mylena’s video will nourish and blossom your Inborn Voice. It’s not AMSR, its the power of Mylena’s voice! Seeing is believing!

Voice is so important in our modern everyday life that is incredible that there is so few vocal coach expert out there in this training.

At some point the videos will be released also over Youtube, but without any interaction as the platform does not readily permit it.

Here is a sample of the first training video:

5 tips for talking wearing a medical mask

5 tips for talking wearing a medical mask

Even if on television we continue to see press conferences and interviews of people who do not wear protective medical masks, which, let’s recall it, are more a defensive barrier not to infect others than to prevent our contagion, anyone who has worn one will have immediately realized that he or she has problems breathing, talking and, above all, making himself or herself understood.

Among the hundreds of emails I receive daily, lately I receive more and more from people who find it difficult to talk and be understood through a medical or surgical mask. Clearly if you use a gas mask, speech becomes even more complicated. Don’t be fooled by Hollywood movies, fiction is always far from reality.

Clearly those who have a good vocal training background, will be able to emit sounds and articulate words much more effectively, even through a medical mask.

Usually those who try to talk for a long time through a medical mask find themselves with some inflammation of the phonatory apparatus, such as lowering of voice, hoarseness, or unpleasant tones or sudden changes in tone.

Since I’m very concerned about preserving vocal health, here are my five tips for talking while wearing a mask to defend yourself against the CoronaVirus outbreak:

  1. Always breathe through your nose
Since the air flow rate that passes through the mask, if well worn, is much lower than what you are normally used to, you unconsciously tend to breathe through your mouth.
Well, it is good to continue to breathe through the nose both to warm and humidify the air that enters our lungs and to further filter the particles of fine dust or anything else that will pass through the mask.
  2. Take slower, deeper breaths
As we have seen through the mask, the air we can breathe into our bodies is less than usual. Since it is not possible to change one’s breathing attitude independently, it is good to try to take slower, that is to say, slower and deeper breaths, that is to say, filling the lungs more with air.
  3. Just communicate the essentials
When wearing a mask, at work or away from home, it is good to try to be as concise as possible. Avoid chatting about more or less, unnecessary topics or non-essentials. In this way, you will avoid going into apnea and staying out of breath.
  4. Speak slowly
Try to speak slowly, as if you were talking to a foreigner, spelling out all the words and trying to get the rhythm down. Imagine you are talking in a room with a loud reverberation, with a big rumble, wait until every word has reached its destination before pronouncing the next one.
  5. Do not turn up the volume of your voice
Many people unconsciously tend to increase their voice, partly because they no longer hear their own sound well from their ears, as it is muffled by the mask, partly because the other party communicates that they do not understand the message.

The gestural communication in the era of the Corona Virus

The gestural communication in the era of the Corona Virus

When I work on the voice of people trying to improve their socio-economic position, I often find myself pointing out things and teaching behaviours that should be far from us as evolved human beings.

If you look carefully at people who have “deserved” and not “got” some kind of personal affirmation in their professional or social life, it will be easy to notice differences with a normal person. Substantial differences are not related to a sophisticated way of using their voice, an elegant dress or a plethora of “followers”. In fact, all these elements can be added, constructed or even purchased. One should observe carefully to note that the differences are not added elements, but removed elements.

Many of my clients, professionals, entrepreneurs, CEOs, but also actors and singers, come to me after attending some kind of vocal training, from diction to acting, from presentation to public speaking, which is a pretext to teach them, or to add, something more.

My teachings are more subtle and effective, in fact I do not pretend to add anything, I only pretend to eliminate something that already exists and that ruins the beauty of human communication.

Well, some of these elements to remove, are almost always nervous tics, unconscious automatisms, expression of some kind of inner insecurity or some fear kept repressed and now silent.

Have you ever seen a great leader, so to speak, scratch her head? Or touch her nose or her face or put her hands to her mouth? These are unconscious behaviors that just as unconsciously express some communicative message.

And this message always reaches its destination, with results that are often cited as “sixth sense”, “bad impression” or something else.
These gestures, tics and unconscious movements pass from generation to generation and it takes a really good motivation to be able to defeat them.

What better opportunity to eradicate a good part of these movements if the one that is offering us, against our will, this pandemic of Corona Virus Covid-19? Now it is imperative not to touch your face, especially your eyes, nose and mouth. Just bite your nails, put your fingers in your nose, use your hands for improper purposes, for example to bring food to your mouth, to cover a sneeze or yawn. There are many other, much more elegant ways to do this!

If you are young, you have the opportunity to avoid transmitting these attitudes to your future children, because it should not be forgotten that the common influence is also transmitted in this way and has accompanied us for thousands of years. If we have not managed to eradicate it, there must be a reason!

In addition to this, there is also breathing, an element at the basis of life itself and human vocality. Did you know that 90% of people who take the Inborn Voice route and learn to breathe correctly are even able to quadruple their breathing capacity? In fact, there are very few people who, when they reach adulthood, breathe correctly, i.e. make the most of their diaphragm. To their amazement, even those who come to me with vocal studies behind them and are sure to have problems with the vocal cords are clearly mistaken in their breathing.

A good breathing helps the whole human being, not only the voice, but with a good voice, the rest will come by itself.

Voice resonates: choose carefully who you listen to to bring out your best

Voice resonates: choose carefully who you listen to to bring out your best

This is certainly nothing new: various branches of science, from psychology to medicine, have been saying for some time that moods are somehow “contagious” and are transmitted from one individual to another.

Those who are familiar with my work know that everything is vibration, so I am not at all surprised. The human voice carries so many secrets and this is one of the simplest. When you listen to the voice of a charismatic leader, a positive person, you are overwhelmed by positive energy and the desire to do and create is triggered. By listening to the voice of a negative or sad person, you lose the will to do or you increase anger and fear.

The study involved more than 50,000 people and focused on work productivity, but the data that emerged is also very interesting for those who are dedicated to improving the voice of people.

It’s not so much the presence of a person and their hidden “vibrations” that create this domino effect, but their voice. It is necessary for this person to communicate his or her malaise by voice so that the contagion can begin. In fact, if you put a negative person in a group and you don’t leave them the space to speak, they are typically isolated from the group, causing little damage. If, on the other hand, pushed by empathy, one “connects”, the matter changes. All the surrounding people are involved and overwhelmed by the negative vortex. Even the less empathic people, those who mind their own business, are involved. And trying to give “tips”, trying to help, will spread this contagion like wildfire, through the voice of those who have been exposed long enough to change its resonance.

Positivity generates positivity, as long as it is not enveloped by an aura of negativity. In fact, research has shown that negative opinions, sadness, despair, have a greater impact on the people around them than positive opinions, happiness, joy.

Our culture lacks training, the ability to avoid infection, diffusion or negative energy. In fact, the opposite seems true. We’re drawn to negativity. Some psychologists at Harvard University with whom I recently collaborated, have analyzed the link between emotional states, voice and relational patterns. They finally determined that “negativity” spreads just like a virus would. As they usually do, they also pulled out statistical numerical data. I find a good match for this data with my experience as a Vocal Coach. A positive person, with an untrained voice, can only increase the positivity of others by 10%, while a negative person can even duplicate the unhappiness already present in others.

So choosing who to attend, who to listen to, is fundamental. The more you interact with negative people, the more you absorb negative vibrations. Be careful, though. In fact, hostility is also a negative vibration, so it is useless to run away or deliberately avoid negative people, because it will only bring negativity to the environment. Our interactions act as a filter, you have to learn to listen to your Inborn Voice in order not to be affected by negativity and not to suddenly give up, all at once, our positivity because you risk to frustrate it.

Learn to listen is fundamental. It is important to understand how our voice can reflect negativity in order to be able to change it, with little tricks, and turn it into a happy voice. This is why it is fundamental to choose carefully who to entrust your voice to, both to communicate and to learn how to use it. Positive emotions are and will always be the best gift we can give to someone who is going through a bad time, but only if we are able to control our voice.

Have you ever tried to give a positive emotion to the right person, the resonant one? Try it and you’ll see that it will always come back multiplied, reinforced. You can deepen the subject by reading my website, reading my book The Way of the Voice or starting a training with me and the Inborn Voice method.
