BUSTO ARSIZIO – The country of the constitutional right to happiness has realized the dream of Milena Origgi from Busto: to have a permanent residence permit without expiration in the United States. She is the first woman in Lombardy to have obtained the American “Greencard Genius”, the green card reserved for people with abilities defined as extraordinary. Genius, indeed. Born in 1972, she is a vocal coach. She has been living in Boston for a few years. She created the Inborn Voice method, considered the best in the field of vocal training and awareness by managers, as well as being considered a valuable soft skill by the academic world, including Bocconi and Cattolica Universities in Milan.

The voice, its vibrations and the emotions it carries into the world are something unique. Cinzia tells of an arduous, intense path, full of a thousand discoveries related to her own essence. Today sees the release of an interview of mine that deals with a subject that is very close to my heart, that is what is defined as “personal brand” in today’s jargon. In fact, my work has been intimately linked to the idea of “personal brand” for more than 20 years, and it is no coincidence that all my vocal coaching workshops are titled “Identity and Voice”. Even the most prestigious universities have recognized me as the pioneer and leading exponent, capable of connecting the world of voice to the world of business.

There are different types of green cards to immigrate into the United States. The one issued for “extraordinary ability” is among the rarest and most coveted. In fact, it’s known colloquially as a “genius green card,” as generally the ones who get them are those who prove to have extraordinary skills in key areas such as the sciences, arts, business, education, or sports. Each year, they are awarded very sparingly to immigrants who can clearly demonstrate that they are the best of the best in their field.

The application to obtain the official endorsement of the “extraordinary abilities” of Milena Origgi, also known as Mylena Vocal Coach, got the green light in 2019 and it took two years, also due to the pandemic, to get the official issuing of the green card in 2021. One statistic turns out to be extremely interesting. In fact, according to the official USCIS report, there were 148,411 green card applications submitted in 2019, but only 614 of this type were approved!
